The Weight of Being Mister Middleclass.

A Soldier. A Police Officer. A Business Owner. A Husband. A Father. An American.

These are the titles I’ve carried in my short time on this Earth. Titles that sound honorable, impressive, even enviable. But behind each one lies struggle, sacrifice, and exhaustion.

I’ve seen life’s tragedies up close, but I’ve also witnessed the good in people. My life is complicated, coordinated, and congested. But that’s not why you’re here.

Mister Middleclass

I am Mister Middleclass. One of the ordinary people walking among you, shouldering the same pressures that millions of Americans feel every single day.

Despite a strong career, military service, and a small business, along with a spouse who also works, we still struggle to make ends meet.

Despite carving out time to help my kids with homework and enforce a chore list, I struggle to connect with them on a deeper level.

Despite trying to raise them right, working endlessly for a steady income, saving for the future, and setting aside a little “fun money,” I have almost no time left to invest in my marriage.

Like so many, I bought into the American Dream, the idea that if you work hard enough, everything falls into place. But the truth is, that dream no longer matches our reality.

Why I Write

Here, I share my thoughts on current events, warfare, American policing, government, and more. Not sports, not betting slips, not distractions.

This is my outlet. Because too often, voices like mine and maybe yours go unheard. And I am tired of being ignored.

So, Who Am I?

I am angry.
I am tired.
I am middle class.
I am an American.

Very Respectfully,
